The Puget Sound VA Healthcare System (PUGVAHCS), Seattle, WA, is recruiting a Board Certified (BC) / Board Eligible (BE) General Gastroenterologist, who will practice within the full scope of "bread and butter" Gastroenterology, to include diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with gastrointestinal diseases according to evidenced based methods and should demonstrate high proficiency in standard endoscopic procedures and advanced GI procedures such as Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS and its associated procedures are not required but helpful. The PUGVAHCS is academically affiliated with the University of Washington and selected GI physician will be considered for academic appointment and will be expected to participate in educational program for gastroenterology fellows, medical residents and medical students. Depending upon the physician's clinical / professional interests and qualifications, will have opportunity and support to pursue research interests, develop clinical programs and other academic goals. The PUGVAHCS is a 557-bed affiliated teaching hospital and enjoys the distinction as a major teaching and research arm of the University of Washington. 

  • Must be a Citizen of the U.S. (Non-US-Citizens may also be considered)
  • Must have current unrestricted U.S. medical license
  • Must be BC / BE in Gastroenterology


Benefits and Features:


  • Expected Salary range for well qualified Gastroenterologist will range from $300,000.00 to $330,000.00, with consideration given to candidate's qualifications, credentials and experience; and may include up to $15,000 in Annual Performance Bonus
  • Selected candidates may also be considered for Recruitment Incentive and eligibility to apply for up to $200,000 in education loan repayment award thru the VA's Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)..
